Enable the Power of Cloud & IoT
SCALING THE DIGITAL ENTERPRISE
Cloud & IOT at IP EXPO Nordic showcases practical advice on how to get the most from these two technologies. Hear from companies at the forefront of the Cloud and IOT revolutions and other IT departments at varying stages of their adoption journeys.
Samy Kamkar is an independent security researcher, best known for creating The MySpace worm, the fastest spreading virus of all time. His open source software, hardware and research highlights the insecurities and privacy implications in everyday technologies, from the Evercookie which produces virtually immutable respawning cookies, to SkyJack, a drone that wirelessly hijacks and autonomously controls other drones. His work has been cited by the NSA, triggered hearings on Capitol Hill, and has been the basis for security advancements across virtually all major web browsers, smartphones, and other technologies.
Wolfram Research created products such as Wolfram|Alpha, Demonstrations and the core underlying technology—Mathematica.
Founded by Stephen Wolfram in 1987, Conrad Wolfram founded the European Wolfram Research in 1991 and since 1997 has been the strategic director of the worldwide group initiating and directs the business, marketing, design and a variety of strategic technical projects---everything from the CDF Player concept to Mathematica (which underlies Wolfram|Alpha) to conceptualising wolfram.com. Interested in how technology and computation can move lives and economies forward and in turn how this affects education, Conrad is a keen promoter of changing the way mathematics is taught in schools, in particular how maths has become almost totally discrepant from its real-world application and in 2010 founded computerbasedmath.org to address this worldwide.
Margriet is a Data Scientist and Developer Advocate for the IBM Watson Data Platform. She has a background in climate science where she explored large observational datasets of carbon uptake by forests and the output of global scale weather and climate models. Now she uses this knowledge to create clear visualisations and models from diverse data sets using cloud databases, data warehouses, Spark, and Python notebooks.

Both Cloud and IoT have completely transformed the way that businesses can operate, offering the potential of rapid growth, cost efficiency and the ability to analyse data on a scale not previously possible. At IP EXPO Nordic find out how to get the most of these technologies to drive forward your business.
Learn, understand and meet experts on some of the following areas:
Managing a Multi-Cloud Environment
Most large businesses operate a hybrid model with some data or applications held in cloud environments and more sensitive data held on-premises. This approach decreases reliance on a single vendor and decreases risks from a disaster mitigation perspective, however it can be in practicality, complicated to manage.
Understand from the experts at the conference how to overcome and manage these complications.
The use of cloud applications can help you reduce time to market as it allows a workforce in many locations work collaboratively and share information in realtime with shared platforms.
Because your business will not have to buy or manage equipment, Cloud can be a considerably cheaper option to run your applications. It is also extremely flexible allowing you to pay for what you use. However understanding billing structures and complex security and governance issues is essential to making the most of the cost efficiencies associated with cloud.
How to make the most of IoT
A lot is said about IoT enabling the 'products-to-service' transformation and more and more products being offered as a service rather than sold. Hear examples of IoT operating at scale and discover how you can make the most of IoT.
