His work has been cited by the NSA, triggered hearings on Capitol Hill, and has been the basis for security advancements across virtually all major web browsers, smartphones, and other technologies.

Interested in how technology and computation can move lives and economies forward and in turn how this affects education, Conrad is a keen promoter of changing the way mathematics is taught in schools, in particular how maths has become almost totally discrepant from its real-world application and in 2010 founded computerbasedmath.org to address this worldwide.
